Charleston Animal Society staff began the day with an evacuation transport from St. Frances Animal Care Center in Georgetown, that started before the sun came up. 36 dogs were brought to Charleston Animal Society and will be evacuated from here on Friday by other sheltering partners.
A second transport evacuation effort took our team to Georgia, where we met folks from the Daytona Beach, FL shelter. Just like the Georgetown animals, these too will be evacuated out of Charleston Animal Society on Friday.
