The Hottest Lifesaving Firefighter Calendar is back!Charleston Animal Society launches pre-orders on National Pet Fire Safety Day
Charleston, SC – In conjunction with National Pet Fire Safety Day on Friday, July 15th, Charleston Animal Society is launching pre-orders on their 2017 Firefighter Calendars. To help save more lives, each pre-ordered 2017 Firefighter Calendar will come with a free Pet Alert Window Cling.
The Firefighter Calendar exists to save lives. All net proceeds from the calendar saves abused, neglected and abandoned animals. “By giving a free Pet Alert Window Cling with each 2017 Calendar pre-order, we hope to save lives from unexpected house fires as well and educate the public on the best fire safety tips for their pets,” said Caroline Toepperwein, Firefighter Calendar Executive Producer.
“We are trained to look for Pet Alerts and will go into a fire to search for a pet,” said Charleston Firefighter and 2017 Calendar Model Rob Tackett. “It saves us precious time, if upon arrival, we see a Pet Alert and know what kind and how many pets we are searching for. Each of our trucks is equipped with a pet oxygen mask – we’ve saved dogs, kittens, hedgehogs and snakes.”
The 2017 Firefighter Calendar features rescue animals posing with 15 of the hottest firefighters. Tackett will be featured with Kimber, a German Shepherd-mix puppy, who was adopted by Steve Hall, a decorated marine veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Hall had recently lost his service dog (also a German Shepherd-mix) and was united with Kimber at Charleston Animal Society. You can read Kimber’s full story here.
“I love that dog as if she were my own,” said Tackett. “Seeing what she looked like when she first came to Charleston Animal Society and seeing her now is unbelievable. Charleston Animal Society saved her life and now she is saving Steve’s life. Kimber and I are paying it forward through the Firefighter Calendar, we ask you to pre-order your calendars so Charleston Animal Society may continue to save lives at the capacity that they do.”
The 2017 Firefighter Calendar is made possible by Co-Title Sponsors: Kia Country of Charleston and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Since its start in 2013, more than 27,000 calendars have been sold around the world!
“Pets are family and we need to keep our families safe. We will provide free pet alerts for each person that pre-orders a calendar, no matter how many orders come in! Saving animals is our number one priority,” said Toepperwein.
