New Lifesaving Partnership Underway

Charleston Animal Society Partners with Caroline Luxury Apartments to Promote Pet Adoptions and Community Involvement

Charleston Animal Society announced a partnership with luxury apartment community Caroline to promote pet adoptions and volunteerism with the animal shelter.

During the month of June, Caroline will sponsor 5 pet adoptions at Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.  The sponsored adoption includes payment of the $100 adoption fee plus a pet supply gift basket valued at $100 that goes home with each of the adopted pets.

The sponsored pets will be available first-come, first-served basis at 12:00 Noon each Thursday for five weeks starting on May 28th.  Each available sponsored pet will be announced on Thursday at Noon on the Facebook pages for both Caroline and Charleston Animal Society.

“Caroline loves fur family members and we welcome families and pets with open arms. As a pet-friendly community, Caroline accepts up to two cats or dogs per apartment weighing less than 100 pounds each” says Amber Rivers, Community Manager for Caroline.

For any additional questions, Amber and the leasing office can be reached at (843) 350-0559. “We are thrilled to partner with Charleston Animal Society to promote pet adoptions and to support our residents becoming involved volunteers through an innovative foster home program.

Maybe it’s not the right time for a family to adopt a permanent new family member, but by becoming a foster home volunteer, our residents can play a vital part in a life-saving role.”

In addition to sponsoring pet adoptions, Caroline will be hosting a virtual cocktail party, “Caroline Kittens on Camera,” on Thursday, June 11th from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm where the kitten foster team from Charleston Animal Society will be making a special on-camera appearance.

Both residents and the general public can participate in the Zoom event by clicking on the link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3483612658.  During the zoom call, you can learn about the unique foster home program where volunteers care for orphaned kittens in their homes, with support from the expert team at Charleston Animal Society. When those kittens are ready for adoption, Charleston Animal Society places them into loving homes.

Another way that Caroline is supporting Charleston Animal Society is by hosting an on-site pet adoption event at the apartment community, located at 99 WestEdge Street, Charleston, SC 29403 on Saturday, July 11th from 11 am to 3 pm.

The mobile outreach team from Charleston Animal Society will be on hand with adoptable dogs.

The pets available for adoption that weekend will be available for viewing on Charleston Animal Society’s website.

Charleston Animal Society President & CEO Joe Elmore, CFRE, CAWA, said about the partnership, “We are thrilled to partner with local businesses that want to support our life-saving work.  Caroline is sending a clear message to the community that pet ownership is a rewarding experience for families who live in apartment homes. With pet-friendly developments like Caroline seeking involvement in our organization, we see that promoting pets and people together makes good business sense too.”
