Two Puppies with Disfigured Paws Get Help!
Injured and abused animals arrive at our shelter 7 days a week. We are always there for them. NEVER turning them away. These two puppies wandered into a mans yard in Ravenenel,South Carolina. He called animal control and they were brought to Charleston Animal Society for care. Once there, our staff immediately assessed their injuries. Dr. Lucy Fuller could not determine if the missing paw was a birth defect or the result of an injury as a puppy. Both puppies had constricting wounds on both left front paws consistent with somtething being either tied to them or the were entangles. None of this matters as much as the fact that they are now safe in our care. If you would like to help Barbosa,(boy with paw missing) or his sister Calypso or the many others injured and sick animals in our shelter, please Donate to Toby’s Fund, which is our medical fund at Charleston Animal Society. Each year, we spend $500,000 in medical treatment, healing animals just like this pair. Only your donations make it possible.
