The Trot for the Cure is an event to raise awareness of canine cancer and funds for its research. 
 The fifth Trot will take place at historic Magnolia Gardens near Charleston, SC on January 11, 2009.
  A tax deductible donation of $25.00 includes entry into the Gardens with your dog, a barbeque, entertainment by the Dixie Dancing Dogs and a talk/Q&A session with a panel of veterinary specialists from UGA and Charleston, including oncologists, internist, neurologist, ophthalmologist, nutritionist and cardiologist. 
All who pre-register by Dec. 22, 2008 receive a long sleeved Trot t-shirt! All proceeds go the Arch Foundation for GA CaRES to be used for cancer research.  Download a registration form

The Charleston Showa Koi Club held  their 2008 Pond Tour on Saturday June 9.  We were very excited to be a part of this event they raised $1,500 to help the animals at the shelter.
