For anyone with a new puppy at home, or those thinking of getting one, our  Puppy Kindergarten program is essential. Puppy K is for dogs between the ages of 10-12 weeks to 5 months.  Pups must have at least 2 sets of DHLPP-C and Bordatella.

The lessons the pups will learn during this critical socialization period will affect them for the rest of their life. It is imperative to begin socializing at this early age – in other words, teach puppies to learn how welcome and be comfortable with an assortment of people, places, sights, surfaces, dogs, other animals, and sounds.

Early and proper socialization will help the pups to learn how to handle stress and new situations with ease as an adult. The lessons the humans will learn are just as important. You will learn all aspects of canine development, preventing and solving undesired behavior, get a running start on obedience training, learn to housetrain successfully, and learn about relationship bonding exercises to show your dog that you are his/her kind and benevolent leader.

We will also discuss health and nutrition. You as dog owners can utilize this early experience to create a confident, comfortable and loving member of their household and community.

Lessons introduced in Puppy K may include, but are not limited to...

Playbiting/Nipping * Chewing inappropriate items * House-training * Touch Conditioning * Name recognition * Accepting his/her collar and leash * Sit - stay - come * Proper socialization.

The first class is orientation and HUMANS ONLY!-  please bring copy of vaccination records to first class.

Skills learned in this class can be applied to real life scenarios; eating at a table or watching TV from a couch while your dog lies quietly, having him sit politely at your side while you greet another dog and handler, having him wait calmly at the door until invited to leave, pass by tempting objects on the floor without having him grab them.  This exciting class makes real life with your dog easier – and more fun!

Obedience Training is one of the best things you can do for your dog or puppy... and your family. Obedience training is the foundation for solving just about any problem. Training opens up a line of communication between you and your dog. Effective communication is necessary to teach your dog about what you want her to do. Group Study is also a perfect opportunity for proper and productive socialization.

In Obedience 101 class, you will learn how to prevent and solve behavior problems, learn how to communicate with your dog, learn how to handle different situations, become a fair and consistent leader, and learn basic commands such as teaching the dog to respond to his/her name, focus on you, or the handler, loose leash manners, heel, sit, down, stay, and coming when called.

Class is set up to teach the dogs around distractions, but also to socialize and learn through interactive games – keeping learning fun and stress free for the dogs as well as humans!

This class is for non-aggressive and non-reactive dogs.  Private consultation should occur for those types of dogs.

The first class is orientation, mandatory and HUMANS ONLY!-  please bring copy of vaccination records to first class.
