Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and attend a volunteer orientation.  Upcoming orientation dates are listed here on our website.  

Volunteers must be 18 years of age.  Children between the ages of 10-18 may volunteer in the Youth Engagement program.  Click on the Education tab, above, for more information.

To volunteer in the back of the shelter with the stray animals you must be a trained volunteer, active for 6 months and 18 years of age.  Stray animal volunteers are also required to attend a separate training.
