Fill your heart and home with the love

of a shelter pet

This week-end our plea for homes for the many adult cats in our care was answered by loving families. The response to our "Free Over Three" adult cat promotion was unbelievable. We adopted seventy-five animals in three days! Thanks to our CAS online community and the media, the word spread quickly about our need to adopt adult cats immediately. Families of all kinds filled their homes and hearts, saving lives in the process. Executive Director, Jim Bush said, " many of the adoptions I saw were families who had recently lost a beloved long-time cat companion."  Even with the great success of this program, there are still many animals waiting for their turn on the adoption floor. Our veterinary staff will begin the process of spaying and neutering those ready to be adopted and our cages are sure to be filled again in the next few days. We will still be offering to waive the adoption fee for adult cats ages three and older through February 14th. If you came in to add another feline friend to your home and did not find one, please check back with our staff during the upcoming week. Please consider adopting an adult cat.
